Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said his three-day State Visit to Seychelles had produced substantive outcomes that would further strengthen ties between the two countries. He also expressed confidence that innovation, sustainability and shared prosperity would drive India-Seychelles relations over the next 50 years.
Taking to X, PM Modi said his visit to Seychelles had produced substantive outcomes that would strengthen the India-Seychelles friendship. He said the two countries had built their relationship on deep trust and shared progress over the past 50 years and expressed confidence that innovation, sustainability and shared prosperity would drive bilateral ties over the next five decades.
The Prime Minister added he was pleased to participate in Seychelles’ National Day celebrations as the country marked 50 years of Independence. He thanked President Patrick Herminie, the Government and the people of Seychelles for their warm hospitality and affection.

During his visit, PM Modi paid floral tributes at Mahatma Gandhi’s statue at Peace Park in Victoria. He also offered prayers at the Arulmigu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple in Victoria and appreciated the Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam for promoting Indian culture and spirituality.
The Prime Minister later interacted with members of the Indian diaspora, praising their contribution to Seychelles’ socio-economic development and bilateral ties.
On Sunday, PM Modi attended Seychelles’ Golden Jubilee National Day celebrations as the Guest of Honour. He described the occasion as a fitting tribute to the remarkable journey of the Seychellois people over the past fifty years and reaffirmed India’s commitment as a trusted development partner.
During the visit, PM Modi received the ‘Guardian of the Blue Horizon,’ Seychelles’ highest honour for leadership in environmental conservation and sustainable development, in recognition of his commitment to sustainable growth and green initiatives.
