Reliance Industries has approved the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) for the initial public offering (IPO) of Jio Platforms, with Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani announcing that the company will file the document with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on the same day.
Describing the development as an emotional milestone, Mukesh Ambani said the proposed listing marks a defining moment for Reliance, its shareholders and millions associated with the company. He added that the Jio IPO represents the company’s most significant value creation milestone this year and is expected to unlock substantial value for existing shareholders while offering an attractive investment opportunity to new investors.
Mukesh Ambani also announced that Akash Ambani, Isha Ambani and Anant Ambani are leading the Jio IPO process and will drive the company’s next phase of innovation, expansion and value creation.
Highlighting Jio’s global ambitions, Mukesh Ambani said the listing would demonstrate that India is capable of building technology companies with world-class scale, capabilities and value. He said the IPO would reinforce Jio’s position as a global technology leader and showcase India’s growing digital ecosystem on the international stage.
Reaffirming his confidence in the company’s future, Mukesh Ambani assured both existing and prospective investors that Jio’s growth story is only beginning. He said the company remains committed to delivering long-term value through innovation, digital transformation and sustained business growth.
Calling the IPO a landmark moment for Reliance, Mukesh Ambani said it reflects the group’s vision of creating globally competitive businesses while rewarding shareholder trust.
