Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday inaugurated a Jan Kalyan Camp in Pitampura under the banner of ‘Seva, Suvidha aur Samadhan’.
The initiative seeks to make government welfare programmes and essential public services more accessible to residents across the capital.
Speaking to the media, CM Gupta said authorities have established similar camps at 42 locations throughout Delhi. She further added that the programme marks 12 years of the PM Narendra Modi-led Union government. It also coincides with the completion of one year of the Delhi administration.
The Chief Minister said the government has established the camps as a single access point for public services.
Citizens can obtain information and benefits related to various welfare schemes at one location.
Delhi Chief Minister said eligible residents can apply for several government welfare programmes at the camps. These include Pink Cards, ration cards, pension schemes, labour cards, PM SVANidhi, and Mudra Yojana, among others.
Individuals can visit the camps with relevant documents to complete the application and verification processes.
The outreach programme will continue from June 18 to June 20, with camps functioning daily between 10 AM and 5 PM.
Officials will provide support for services linked to Ayushman cards, Aadhaar enrolment, Jan Dhan accounts, e-Shram cards, PM Vishwakarma, and PM Surya Ghar schemes.
CM Gupta said the government is working to bring public services closer to citizens through direct outreach efforts. She further emphasised that the initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring that welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries without unnecessary hurdles.
The Jan Kalyan Camps are part of a wider public outreach campaign organised by the BJP.
The initiative, however, marks 12 years of the NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Authorities anticipate a strong public response. Thousands of residents are likely to visit the camps for enrolment and information. They are also likely to access welfare benefits offered by the Central and Delhi governments.
