Mukesh Ambani visited the revered Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines in Uttarakhand. He donated Rs 10 crore to support the development and maintenance of the two pilgrimage centres.
The contribution was made during his visit to the Himalayan temples, where he offered prayers and participated in religious rituals.
Temple authorities welcomed Mukesh Ambani upon his arrival.
BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi welcomed Mukesh Ambani. He presented him with a traditional Uttarakhand cap.
After offering prayers at both shrines, Mukesh Ambani praised the arrangements made for devotees undertaking the Char Dham Yatra. He further commended the Uttarakhand government for ensuring smooth management of the pilgrimage and highlighted the facilities provided for pilgrims across the route.
Mukesh Ambani said he has visited Uttarakhand for nearly 20 years. He called the current arrangements among the finest he has seen.
Mukesh Ambani appreciated the efforts undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to improve infrastructure and pilgrim convenience.
The industrialist also expressed concern over recent natural calamities in the state and conveyed condolences for the losses suffered by affected families. He assured continued support from the Reliance Foundation during times of disaster and pledged cooperation in protecting the region’s environment and religious heritage.
Officials noted that the Ambani family has maintained a long-standing association with the Badrinath and Kedarnath temples through regular visits and philanthropic contributions.
The latest donation will assist temple beautification, pilgrim facilities and preservation efforts at the sacred shrines.
