Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday praised the growing influence of young Indians in the country’s development journey.

In a message shared on X under the hashtag #12YearsOfYuvaShakti, PM Modi stated that the NDA government continues to prioritise policies that place youth at the forefront of national progress. He observed that the determination and ambition displayed by young citizens have played a crucial role in India’s transformation over the past decade.

The Prime Minister pointed to several government programmes that have helped nurture talent and innovation.

Initiatives including Startup India, Digital India, Skill India, and the Atal Innovation Mission have created opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators across the country.

PM Modi said the country’s youth are excelling in a variety of high-growth sectors. Their contributions are becoming increasingly visible in areas such as advanced technology, manufacturing, space research, semiconductor production, and drone innovation.

The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to support youth through financial assistance, training, and employment initiatives.

More than 12 crore beneficiaries have received support under the PM Mudra Yojana, enabling many to launch businesses and pursue self-employment opportunities.

Government figures indicate that over 60 lakh young people have benefited from the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana.

More than 1.6 crore individuals have undergone skill development training through the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana.

The government has distributed more than 12 lakh appointment letters through Rozgar Melas, helping job seekers secure employment opportunities.

India’s startup ecosystem has also expanded significantly, with over 2.2 lakh recognised startups generating more than 23 lakh jobs.

Around 16 lakh student-led innovation projects have contributed to strengthening the country’s entrepreneurial culture.

Through the PM-SETU programme, ₹60,000 crore has been allocated to upgrade 1,000 Industrial Training Institutes and prepare young people for future workforce demands.
