Defending champions India will take on New Zealand in the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.
India reached the title clash after edging past England in a thrilling semi-final on Thursday, while New Zealand secured their place in the final with a dominant nine-wicket win over South Africa a day earlier.
With two strong teams set to battle for the trophy, the outcome could depend on several crucial on-field duels between key players.

Matt Henry vs India’s Openers
New Zealand’s experienced pacer Matt Henry is expected to lead the bowling attack with the new ball against India’s opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson.
Henry’s ability to hit consistent good lengths and extract movement early in the innings could test the Indian openers.
The pacer has previously dismissed Samson in a T20 international match in Guwahati.
He has also been effective during the tournament, claiming 2 for 34 in the semi-final against South Africa in Kolkata soon after returning from paternity leave.

Mitchell Santner vs Suryakumar Yadav
