Operation Shield Of Judah: Israel Strikes Areas Near Khamenei’s Offices In Tehran

Israel on Saturday carried out what it described as ‘preventive’ strikes against Iran, targeting multiple locations in Tehran amid sharply escalating regional tensions.

According to media reports, several sites near offices linked to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were among the areas hit.

Iranian authorities have not yet confirmed the extent of damage or casualties.

Israel’s Defence Ministry said the operation, named ‘Shield of Judah’, was launched to neutralise perceived threats to Israel’s security.

As fears of retaliation mounted, air raid sirens were sounded across Israel, with authorities urging citizens to remain vigilant and follow emergency instructions.

The Israeli military said it was preparing for the possibility of incoming strikes.

Citing an unnamed security source, The Times of Israel reported that the operation had been jointly planned for months and that Israel was prepared for an extended campaign.

The source claimed that the United States was ‘on the same page’ and that the initial phase of the offensive could last up to four days.

The report added that the first round of strikes was deliberately launched during daylight hours to achieve strategic surprise. It said Tehran would be less likely to anticipate an attack at that time.

The developments mark a significant escalation in the long-running hostility between Israel and Iran. They come against the backdrop of stalled diplomatic engagement between Washington and Tehran.

Trump Signals Tougher Line on Iran

Earlier this week, US President Donald Trump expressed frustration with the pace of nuclear negotiations with Iran. He said he was ‘not happy’ with the latest round of talks.

Trump reiterated that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons or continue uranium enrichment.

A day earlier, Trump had hinted at a tougher stance, remarking that force is sometimes necessary.

The situation remains fluid, with regional and international actors closely monitoring developments. There are growing concerns that further escalation or retaliation could follow.
