Prime Minister Modi on Friday initiated his first executive actions from the newly inaugurated ‘Seva Teerth’ complex, placing public service at the centre of governance.
From the new office on Kartavya Path, PM Modi approved four major initiatives aimed at empowering women, strengthening agriculture and accelerating youth-led innovation.
The Prime Minister cleared key files immediately after assuming charge at the modernised Prime Minister’s Office. The decisions directly impact Lakhpati Didis, farmers, entrepreneurs and vulnerable citizens.
The government approved the launch of the PM RAHAT Scheme and expanded the Lakhpati Didi programme to six crore beneficiaries. It enhanced the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund to Rs 2 lakh crore. It created Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 with a Rs 10,000 crore corpus.
Under the PM RAHAT Scheme, PM Modi introduced a nationwide safety net for road accident victims.
The programme, however, guarantees cashless medical treatment of up to Rs 1.5 lakh per individual.
The scheme seeks to eliminate delays in emergency care and prevent fatalities caused by financial constraints.
Prime Minister Modi also doubled the Lakhpati Didi target to six crore women by March 2029.
The government has already surpassed three crore beneficiaries. It achieved the milestone more than a year before the March 2027 deadline.
The revised target significantly scales up women-led income generation initiatives.
Prime Minister Modi authorised the doubling of the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund. He increased it from Rs 1 lakh crore to Rs 2 lakh crore.
The enhanced allocation will, however, support storage, logistics and post-harvest facilities, improving productivity and farmer incomes.
Further, PM Modi sanctioned Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 with a Rs 10,000 crore allocation. The fund will stimulate investment in deep technology, advanced manufacturing, early-stage ventures and frontier innovations.
The initiative reinforces India’s innovation-driven growth strategy.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister inaugurated Seva Teerth, which houses the PMO, National Security Council Secretariat and Cabinet Secretariat.
The complex marks a formal shift from South Block. It establishes a state-of-the-art administrative hub located nearly one kilometre from Raisina Hill.
The transition consolidates executive functions and strengthens institutional coordination at the apex of governance.
