Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday conveyed warm birthday wishes to Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, praising his role in making parliamentary proceedings more productive and citizen-focused.
Rijiju, born on 19 November 1971 in Nakhu village in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Kameng district, has played a prominent role in strengthening the nation’s legislative processes.

Further responding to the Prime Minister’s message, Kiren Rijiju thanked PM Modi for his encouraging words and reaffirmed his dedication to public service.

A Distinguished Political Journey
Kiren Rijiju hails from a politically active family and developed a deep interest in public affairs from an early age.
His commitment to public service became evident when, at 31, he served as a Member of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (2002–04).
Moreover, in 2004, he won the election to the 14th Lok Sabha from West Arunachal Pradesh, one of India’s largest parliamentary constituencies.
Over the years, he has won four Lok Sabha elections from Arunachal Pradesh and now serves as one of the three Buddhist MPs in the 18th Lok Sabha.
Additionally, Rijiju’s contributions across various ministerial roles and his sustained efforts to strengthen India’s parliamentary framework have earned him recognition across party lines.
