Vijay Varma Blasts Paparazzi Over Dharmendra Health Rumours

Actor Vijay Varma expressed deep disappointment over the intrusive media coverage surrounding veteran superstar Dharmendra’s recent health scare.

The actor said the situation saddened him, especially after watching Sunny Deol fold his hands and plead with paparazzi to respect the family’s privacy.

Vijay noted that even commenting on the issue draws more unwanted attention, which is the last thing the Deol family needs during a difficult time.

Dharmendra’s deteriorating health had sparked national concern a few days ago.

Paparazzi stationed themselves outside both his residence and the hospital where he was admitted.

Their constant presence triggered widespread criticism from several Bollywood celebrities, who accused them of being insensitive and invading the Deol family’s personal space.

Vijay Varma addressed the controversy and firmly stated that the media should step back.

He said the family required privacy, and everyone, especially the media, should honour that need.

He added that seeing Sunny Deol plead emotionally for space profoundly moved him and highlighted how distressing the situation had become.

The chaos intensified on November 11 when false reports of Dharmendra’s death circulated widely on social media.

Within hours, his daughter Esha Deol issued a statement clarifying his actual health condition.

She reassured fans that her father was stable and recovering. Esha urged the public and the media to stop spreading misinformation and respect the family’s request for privacy.

Dharmendra’s wife, actress Hema Malini, also dismissed the rumours through her social media account.

On the morning of November 13, Sunny Deol personally addressed the paparazzi waiting outside his home for updates.

With folded hands, he asked them to act with humanity and avoid causing unnecessary chaos.

He emphasised that the family was already going through an emotionally heavy period and needed space to cope.

Meanwhile, Vijay Varma is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Gustaakh Ishq, which also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Naseeruddin Shah.

The romantic drama marks designer Manish Malhotra’s debut as a producer and is set to release on November 28.

For the first time in his career, Vijay will portray a full-fledged romantic role.
