Leaders Across States Echo PM Modi’s Call For Responsible Festivities In ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 127th Mann Ki Baat broadcast on Sunday drew praise from leaders nationwide.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat broadcast on Sunday, marking its 127th edition, received widespread commendation from leaders across India.

Many lauded his focus on unity, environmental care, and celebrating festivals in a responsible manner.

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat reflected on the address, stating, “The 127th episode of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme concluded today. The Prime Minister extended greetings on Diwali and mentioned that the Chhath festival is approaching, and offered greetings to everyone while paying respects to Chhath Maiya. He emphasised that we should celebrate festivals responsibly. Highlighting the ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ initiative, he urged everyone to actively participate in tree plantation and work seriously toward the protection of trees.”

In Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also joined residents at the Kedarnath Sahni Auditorium for a public screening of the programme. She further asserted that she found the message inspiring.

CM Gupta remarked that whenever people follow the Prime Minister’s guidance, it sparks positive change. This, she added, encourages progress across the nation.

“Each time, there is something new, sometimes about the environment, sometimes culture, but always something that helps the nation progress,” Delhi CM noted.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also expressed appreciation, saying, “We all listened to the 127th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’. We are very grateful to the Prime Minister, as he has consistently mentioned the contributions of Chhattisgarh in many episodes, and today he mentioned them again.”

From Bihar, Minister Nitin Nabin spoke about the emotional connection people have with Chhath. He noted that the festival holds a deep place in Indian tradition.

“The Chhath Mahaparv holds a special place in the hearts of every Indian. PM Modi has always given it a unique significance. Many times, he has spoken about the stories and traditions of Chhath in his addresses,” he further noted.

BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, speaking from the 107th Cantonment Assembly constituency, remarked on the programme. He said they had listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat, now in its 127th episode.

He further noted that the Prime Minister highlighted:

  • Chhath Puja,
  • Clean India campaign,
  • GST refunds, and
  • Promotion of local products

Additionally, Chaudhary added that, through this programme, citizens stay informed and connected to national initiatives and festivals.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi extended best wishes for Diwali and Chhath Puja. He described Chhath as a ‘beautiful example of India’s social unity’.

“Festive joy now fills the entire country. We all celebrated Diwali a few days back, and now a large number of people are busy with Chhath Puja. ‘Thekua’ is being prepared in homes, ghats are being adorned everywhere, and markets are abuzz with excitement. A blend of devotion, warmth, and tradition can be seen everywhere,” PM Modi emphasised.

He also praised the women observing the Chhath fast, calling their devotion and preparation ‘a source of inspiration for all’.

The four-day Chhath Puja, dedicated to the Sun God, began on Saturday with Nahay-Khay and continued with Kharna on Sunday.

Devotees across India are observing the rituals with discipline and faith. Moreover, their devotion echoes the Prime Minister’s message of unity, sustainability, and shared celebration.
