
Telugu superstar Ram Charan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday and expressed admiration for the Prime Minister’s efforts to promote sports and Indian culture.
The actor shared photographs of their meeting on Instagram, calling it an ‘honour’ to interact with the country’s leader.
Ram Charan said the meeting revolved around the Archery Premier League, a pioneering event that marks India’s first franchise-based archery tournament. During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi presented the actor with a statue of a deity as a gesture of goodwill.
In his post, Ram Charan praised the Prime Minister’s ‘guidance and passion for sports’, noting that it will help preserve and promote the legacy of archery globally. “Congratulations to all the athletes; we hope many more join this incredible sport for better mental and physical health,” the actor wrote.

The Archery Premier League, launched by the Archery Association of India in 2025, features six teams: Prithviraaj Yodhas, Mighty Marathas, Kakatiya Knights, Rajputana Royals, Chero Archers, and Chola Chiefs. Each team includes eight archers, both men and women, competing in recurve and compound categories.
The tournament hosts 36 Indian and 12 international archers, with matches taking place at the Yamuna Sports Complex in New Delhi. The Rajputana Royals and Mighty Marathas have advanced to the grand finale, marking the culmination of a successful inaugural season.
Ram Charan’s Recent Public Appearance in Delhi
Earlier, Ram Charan attended the Ravan Dahan celebrations at Balaji Ramleela Maidan in the national capital.
Speaking in Hindi, the actor recalled his portrayal of Alluri Sitaramaraju in the Oscar-winning film RRR, expressing gratitude to audiences across India for their affection.
He remarked, “What is happening today is because of Lord Ram. I have received so much love from the people of the north. We came from the south, and you have embraced us wholeheartedly.”
Through his recent engagements, Ram Charan continues to bridge regional and cultural boundaries, symbolising the unity and pride of Indian cinema and sports.
