Adani Electricity Mumbai has once again illuminated the city’s festive celebrations, providing 653 temporary electricity connections to Navratri and Durga Puja pandals across the metropolis this year.
In preparation for the festive season, the utility simplified the application process for temporary connections earlier this month, ensuring organisers could access reliable electricity quickly and safely.
A company spokesperson shared, “We are proud to announce that this year we have supplied temporary electricity connections to over 653 Durga Puja and Navratri pandals across Mumbai. Adani Electricity recognises the significance of uninterrupted power during these auspicious occasions.”
Last year, the company successfully powered 647 pandals, and this year it strengthened operations further to guarantee faster connection releases and seamless supply.
The initiative underlines the utility’s dedication to supporting cultural festivities with efficiency and care.
Commitment to Safety and Rapid Service
Adani Electricity assures delivery of temporary connections within 48 hours of application, reflecting its commitment to customer convenience and operational excellence.
Earlier this year, during the Ganpati festival, the company provided approximately 950 temporary connections and installed 2,571 floodlights at 167 immersion points across 15 BMC wards, ensuring well-lit and secure celebrations for devotees.
To maintain safety standards throughout the Navratri and Durga Puja festivities, Adani Electricity deployed a Quick Response Team equipped with a robust restoration plan to handle any potential issues.
Safety First: Advisory for Organisers
The utility has issued a comprehensive safety advisory to all pandal organisers, emphasising best practices such as:
- Engaging only licensed electrical contractors for wiring services
- Installing Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs) to prevent electrical hazards
- Using standard wires and switches
- Restricting access to authorised personnel in meter cabins
- Placing fire extinguishers with operational knowledge near meter cabins
- Fixing danger boards and ensuring proper earthing
Organisers have also been cautioned against using unauthorised extensions, making improper wiring joints, placing obstacles near meter cabins, or exceeding the sanctioned load.
By prioritising safety, reliability, and ease of access, Adani Electricity Mumbai continues to uphold its pledge to power the city’s vibrant cultural celebrations.
The company’s proactive measures ensure that devotees can celebrate Navratri and Durga Puja with complete peace of mind and uninterrupted energy.
