Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Gujarat today to inaugurate and lay the foundation for transformative development projects across multiple sectors at a high-profile event at Jawahar Maidan, Bhavnagar.
These initiatives, valued at over ₹34,200 crore, will aim to strengthen infrastructure, maritime operations, energy, healthcare, and urban transport in the state.
During the ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ programme, PM Modi will focus on the maritime sector, unveiling projects worth more than ₹7,870 crore.
He will inaugurate the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock and lay the foundation for a new container terminal at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata.
Additional developments will include a cargo berth at Paradip Port and the Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal in Gujarat. They will also include modernisation projects at Chennai, Kamarajar, and Deendayal ports, along with inland waterway upgrades at Patna and Varanasi.
Renewable Energy and Gujarat Development Projects
In Gujarat, PM Modi will launch projects worth ₹26,354 crore. These projects will target renewable energy, roadways, port infrastructure, healthcare, and urban transport.
Key initiatives will include the HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port and the Acrylics and Oxo Alcohol Project at the Gujarat IOCL Refinery. They will also include the 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative and the 475 MW PM-KUSUM solar feeder for farmers.
Officials will also inaugurate the Badeli 45 MW Solar PV Project and the complete solarisation of Dhordo village.
Officials will lay foundation stones for the expansions at Sir T General Hospital in Bhavnagar and Guru Govind Sinh Government Hospital in Jamnagar.
PM Modi will also launch the four-laning of 70 kilometres of national highways to enhance connectivity and trade. Government bodies and private players will sign several MoUs, reinforcing public-private partnerships and accelerating development across Gujarat.
The Prime Minister will fly over the Dholera Special Investment Region. Developers will build it as a greenfield industrial city, featuring sustainable industrialisation, smart infrastructure, and global investment.
