Bollywood’s legendary ‘Showman’ Subhash Ghai has once again expressed admiration for the scenic beauty of Kashmir, calling it the ‘pride of India’ and encouraging filmmakers to rediscover the valley as a cinematic treasure trove.
The celebrated director recently met with a delegation from Kashmir and took to Instagram to share a group photo from the interaction, calling the experience ‘heartwarming’.
Ghai praised both the government and the local community for actively promoting cinema tourism, saying the region is ‘ready to host stories from across the globe’.
He emphasised that Kashmir offers everything a filmmaker could dream of—captivating landscapes, rich culture, and genuine warmth.
Urging both Indian and international directors to consider Kashmir as a filming destination, Ghai highlighted its enduring appeal as a backdrop for storytelling.

In a separate social media post, Ghai also applauded actress Saachi Bindra for her performance in her debut film Manu Kya Kkarega.
Despite their familial connection, he pointed out that Saachi never sought his influence in her career journey, choosing to carve her own path.
He praised her work as ‘remarkable’ and commended the entire cast and crew, reaffirming his belief in merit over favouritism. Her success, he said, was a moment of genuine pride.

Even in his 80s, Subhash Ghai continues to inspire both audiences and creators. With a legacy of timeless classics like Hero, Ram Lakhan, and Taal, his impact on Hindi cinema is undeniable.
Reflecting on Kashmir’s historic role in Indian filmmaking, Ghai’s recent tribute served both as a reminder and an invitation to let the valley once again take centre stage in cinematic storytelling.
