Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh slammed the BJP-led central government on Monday, claiming that it provided no proof of surgical strikes while claiming to have killed a large number of terrorists.

He accused Narendra Modi of ruling the country through a “bundle of lies”.

“They (the Centre) talk about surgical strikes and how many of them (terrorists) they have killed, but there is no proof,” Singh told a gathering during the Bharat Jodo Yatra here. “The Pulwama attack occurred. 40 of our CRPF officers were martyred. The BJP claims that the opposition party is “blinded” by its “hate” for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has “insulted” the armed forces, adding that such statements are made at the request of the Congress’ top leadership.
