PM Modi Unveils Visionary Independence Day Blueprint For Viksit Bharat@2047

PM Narendra Modi delivered a record 103-minute address from the Red Fort on the 79th Independence Day. He presented a sweeping vision for a self-reliant, strategically autonomous, and technologically advanced India.

Framing his speech as a roadmap to a Viksit Bharat by 2047, PM Modi blended bold policy announcements with ideological clarity, charting India’s journey from dependence to global confidence.

Defence Autonomy and Strategic Posture

PM Modi declared, “India will no longer accept nuclear blackmail,” highlighting the success of Operation Sindoor, a fully indigenous retaliatory strike after the Pahalgam attack.

He reinforced India’s shift in strategic posture with his statement on the Indus Waters Treaty, ‘blood and water will not flow together’, rejecting past compromises and reaffirming national sovereignty.

The launch of Mission Sudarshan Chakra, designed to develop advanced weapon systems, and the plan to expand a nationwide security shield by 2035, underscored India’s strengthened defence readiness.

The Prime Minister announced that India will roll out its first Made-in-India semiconductor chip by year-end and open the nuclear sector to private participation. He stressed the need for self-reliance in jet engines, social media platforms, fertilisers, and pharmaceuticals.

Additionally, he positioned technological and industrial capability as the pillars of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Energy Independence and Resource Security

PM Modi unveiled the National Critical Minerals Mission and the Deepwater Exploration Mission. These initiatives target 1,200 mineral sites and tap offshore energy resources to reduce foreign fuel dependence.

Ten nuclear reactors are currently operational, and India aims to increase nuclear capacity tenfold by 2047, with private sector involvement driving the expansion.

The Prime Minister announced a Task Force for Next-Generation Economic Reforms. It builds on the repeal of over 40,000 regulations and 1,500 outdated laws.

He promised GST reforms by Diwali to ease the burden on MSMEs and consumers, signalling a pro-growth economic agenda.

Youth Employment and Agricultural Development

Youth empowerment took centre stage with the PM Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana. The ₹1 lakh crore employment scheme targets 3.5 crore young Indians.

In agriculture, PM Modi launched the PM Dhanya Dhanya Krishi Yojana for 100 backwards districts.

The scheme complements farmer support programmes and promotes self-reliance in fertiliser production.

The High-Powered Demography Mission was launched to protect India’s demographic balance, especially in border areas, from illegal infiltration.

From space innovation to pharmaceutical leadership, PM Modi urged citizens to build, innovate, and invest in India’s future.

He framed self-reliance as a structural transformation. He called it the foundation for national strength, dignity, and strategic autonomy ahead of India’s independence centenary.
