
India and Singapore on Wednesday convened the third India–Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) in New Delhi, reinforcing their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Discussions focused on six pillars of cooperation, digitalisation, skill development, sustainability, healthcare, connectivity, and advanced manufacturing.
High-Level Delegations from Both Nations
The Indian delegation included External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw.
The Singaporean side was led by:
- Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong,
- Coordinating Minister for National Security and Home Affairs K Shanmugam,
- Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan,
- Digital Development and Information Minister Josephine Teo,
- Minister for Manpower Tan See Leng, and
- Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow
EAM Jaishankar Highlights Government–Industry Synergy
EAM S Jaishankar thanked the Singaporean ministers for their commitment to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He emphasised that synergy between government and industry is key to unlocking the next phase of bilateral relations.

On Tuesday, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal welcomed the Singaporean delegation, noting that the ISMR continues to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

India and Singapore elevated their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This happened during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Singapore in September 2024.
The partnership is rooted in a shared history, mutual respect, and extensive cooperation across multiple sectors.
Envisioned by Prime Minister Modi, the ISMR serves as a platform to set the future agenda for India–Singapore cooperation. The inaugural ISMR took place in New Delhi in September 2022. The second meeting was held in Singapore in August 2024.
