A Japanese traveller has captured social media’s attention with his enthusiastic review of Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport.
Kaito, a content creator, shared a video showcasing the airport’s lush greenery, architectural design and ambience, calling it ‘one of the most beautiful airports in the world’.
In the video, Kaito walks through the terminal in awe.
“This is Bengaluru International Airport. This architecture, I have never seen any airport like this before. Guys, this is inside of Bengaluru International Airport,” he said.
Pointing at the unique installations, he remarked, “There are so many trees hanging from the ceiling. It looks like a 5-star hotel or something.”
He also noted the sensory experience inside the airport. “It smells really, really good inside. It smells like Aesop, if you know the cosmetic brand,” he added.
A Garden Inside an Airport
Kaito highlighted the airport’s signature design element, its greenery.
“Actually, it’s not a tree, it’s like a huge bell covered with trees hanging from the ceiling. There is also a fountain there. That’s insane. There’s like an indoor waterfall here,” he said excitedly.
Comparing it to other renowned airports, Kaito said, “There is a garden in Changi Airport, Singapore, and Hamad International Airport, Doha, Qatar, but this is another level because the whole airport is covered with green. This is not a garden; the whole airport is like a garden.”
He even checked the plants to see if they were real. “Oh my gosh, is this real or not? Oh, I think it’s real. All plants here are real, but there is no insect or something,” he observed.
Due to his boarding call, Kaito concluded the video quickly, saying, “This is a shopping area, but I don’t have much time today. My boarding is already started, so I have to hurry. I don’t have much time to enjoy things like eating or shopping.”
The video, captioned “One of the most beautiful airport in the world”, received thousands of reactions.
