In a remarkable display of talent and creativity, six-year-old Vidhat, a resident of Karimnagar, is capturing national attention by creating portraits using Rubik’s cubes, an art form that challenges even seasoned professionals.
Young artist stuns with PM Modi portrait
Vidhat, the son of Sujatha and Nithin Reddy, recently amazed viewers by crafting a portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi using just 99 Rubik’s cubes in only 20 minutes.
The portrait’s precision and likeness have left many stunned, especially considering the artist is a child still in kindergarten.
Vidhat began exploring Rubik’s cubes at the tender age of three.
With consistent practice and the support of online training, he quickly progressed from basic solving to using cube arrangements to build portraits.
His first creations included portraits of his parents and himself, which he crafted from memory and reference images.
Parents provide full support
Encouraged by their son’s exceptional ability, Vidhat’s parents arranged for specialised online coaching. Now, they are preparing to enrol him in advanced training in Hyderabad.
“We’re amazed at what he can do. Watching him create portraits of personalities like Modi and Pawan Kalyan using only Rubik’s cubes is surreal. We want to support his dream of setting a world record,” said his parents.
Competing with the best
Despite his young age, Vidhat has already showcased his skills in competitive arenas.
He participated in events such as the Telangana Cube Championship 2024 and the DC Open July Hyderabad 2024, competing with older participants in solving 3x3x3 and 2x2x2 cubes.
With his growing skill set and supportive family, Vidhat is set to become a rising star in both the cubing and artistic communities.
As his journey progresses, many expect to see him attempt, and possibly break, world records in the near future.
