Bollywood stars Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur brought a local flavour to their film promotions in Bengaluru by enjoying a hearty South Indian meal amidst the city’s notorious traffic.
While touring for their upcoming release ‘Metro…In Dino’, the actors paused for dinner and relished traditional dishes like idly, dosas, sambhar, and dahi chaat.
Sara shared the culinary moment with fans on Instagram story through a playful boomerang video featuring both actors at a restaurant table.
Capturing the light-hearted tone of their outing, she penned a short shayari:
“Dinner break zaroori jab traffic mein badh jaye doori, and Aditya Roy Kapur sweetly obliges and does jee hazoori. Ab mann muskura sakta hai.”
The actress later posted a video from their fan interaction event in Bengaluru and expressed gratitude with the caption, “Thank you for all the love Banglore (sic). Our story begins here and so do our promotions.”
About the film
Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro…In Dino’ will be out in cinemas on 4 July.
The ensemble cast includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, and Neena Gupta.
The film is described as a spiritual sequel to Basu’s acclaimed 2007 drama Life in a… Metro, which explored the intersecting lives of urban dwellers navigating love, heartbreak, and relationships in Mumbai.
Anurag Basu featured a notable cast in the earlier film, including Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Shilpa Shetty, and Dharmendra, and drew partial inspiration from Billy Wilder’s The Apartment.
‘Metro…In Dino’ continues the legacy, focusing on contemporary relationship dynamics in a metropolitan setting.
Sara Ali Khan last appeared in Sky Force, an action drama depicting India’s first airstrike on the Sargodha airbase during the 1965 Indo-Pak war.
The film starred Akshay Kumar and debutant Veer Pahariya alongside Sara and Nimrat Kaur.
Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force added to Sara’s growing portfolio of diverse roles.
With promotional activities now in full swing, ‘Metro…In Dino’ is generating buzz not only for its ensemble cast and storyline, but also for the actors’ personable interactions with fans and the cities they visit.
