Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday declared that Operation Sindoor has demonstrated India’s firm resolve against terrorism and established a new benchmark in military retaliation.
Speaking at Vigyan Bhawan during the centenary celebration of the meeting between Sree Narayana Guru and Mahatma Gandhi, he said the operation showed that no place is safe for those who harm Indian citizens.
“Operation Sindoor has made India’s tough policy against terrorism very clear to the world.
We have shown that no place is safe for terrorists who shed the blood of Indians,” PM Modi remarked, stressing that the world has now witnessed the strength and intent of a new India.
Defence self-reliance on display
The Prime Minister highlighted how Operation Sindoor served not only as a powerful counterterror response but also as a showcase of India’s growing military independence.
“Today’s India takes decisions that are both feasible and in the best interest of the nation. Our reliance on foreign nations for defence is steadily decreasing,” he said.
Emphasising the role of indigenous manufacturing in national security, PM Modi added, “We are becoming self-reliant in the defence sector. Our forces forced the enemy to kneel in just 22 minutes using weapons made in India. I believe the world will soon echo the strength of Made-in-India weapons.”
A vision for Viksit Bharat
Beyond security and defence, the Prime Minister used the platform to call for national unity and development through the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru.
“To fulfil the resolutions of the country, we must spread the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru. Our government is working actively in this direction,” he said.
PM Modi noted that the government has taken steps to preserve and honour the Guru’s legacy, including the formation of the Sivagiri Sarkar, aimed at connecting important pilgrimage sites related to the Guru’s life.
PM Modi expressed confidence that the ideals of spiritual and social reform championed by Sree Narayana Guru would serve as guiding principles as India marches towards Amrit Kaal.
“His blessings and teachings will continue to guide us. Together, we will realise the dream of a Viksit Bharat,” he said in conclusion.
The speech underscored the dual message of spiritual unity and uncompromising national security, rooted in India’s cultural heritage and future aspirations.
