BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, after completing a successful parliamentary delegation tour to Bahrain, Kuwait, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia, stated that all visited countries clearly supported India’s firm stand against terrorism.
The delegation conveyed India’s ‘New Normal’ policy, championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which advocates precise and decisive retaliation against terror attacks.
Speaking upon arrival in New Delhi, Panda described the visit as ‘very successful’, emphasising that the four nations acknowledged India’s principled position.
“Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria have already taken firm steps against terrorism. They understand India’s stand and have aligned with us on this issue,” he said.
Panda reiterated India’s long-standing legacy as a nation of peace and refuge for persecuted peoples.
Moreover, the delegation meticulously presented facts and figures related to the Pahalgam terror attack carried out by Pakistan-based terrorists.
Panda highlighted India’s strategic response, noting, “This is India’s new normal – targeted, precise retaliation against terrorist violence.”
He also pointed to India’s imposition of economic sanctions on Pakistan, including trade restrictions, visa curbs, and maritime access limitations, designed to expose and halt Pakistan’s support for terrorism.
Strengthening Regional Relations
Panda credited Prime Minister Modi for nurturing strong ties with leaders across the Gulf and North Africa region over the past decade.
“Many have honoured PM Modi with their highest civilian awards. These countries view India as a key economic partner and a committed ally in the fight against terrorism and other shared challenges,” he remarked.
On Pakistan’s ongoing disinformation campaigns, Panda noted concerns over the removal of Pakistan from the FATF grey list, which may enable renewed misuse of international funds for malign activities.
Furthermore, he affirmed that the delegation discussed these issues to highlight Pakistan’s duplicity on the global stage.
Summing up the mission in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Panda wrote, “Concluded a significant four-nation parliamentary mission across Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria. Over the past days, we’ve carried India’s strong message against terrorism, reinforced historic ties, and engaged in high-level dialogues. Grateful for the warm hospitality and meaningful discussions in each country. A special appreciation to my fellow delegation members — their insights, dedication, and teamwork were crucial in amplifying India’s voice throughout this mission.”
