PM Narendra Modi ignited patriotic fervour during his Gujarat tour, marking his first visit to the state since the Indian Army’s successful Operation Sindoor in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
Army’s Action Speaks Loudly, Says PM Modi
Addressing a massive crowd at the 20th anniversary of Gujarat Urban Development, PM Modi firmly declared, “No evidence is needed this time; the Army’s swift response speaks for itself.”
PM Modi directed his remarks at opposition leaders who had previously demanded proof of military operations.
“This time, the skies above are giving the evidence,” he added.
The Prime Minister described scenes of deep patriotism he witnessed across cities, including Vadodara, Dahod, Bhuj, Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar. “A sea of vermilion and fluttering Tricolours filled the streets, reflecting the people’s unwavering patriotism not only in Gujarat but across the nation,” he said.
Firm Resolve Against Terrorism: PM Modi
Using a vivid metaphor, PM Modi said, “No matter how healthy the body is, if one thorn pricks it, the whole body suffers. We have decided to remove that thorn,” emphasising India’s determination to eliminate terrorism decisively.
During the visit, PM Modi inaugurated over 22,000 residential units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, valued at Rs 1,006 crore.
He also unveiled a Rs 145 crore biodiversity park developed along the Kankara-Khadi riverbanks in Surat by reclaiming wasteland.
Urban Development Initiatives Across Cities
The Prime Minister launched urban development projects worth Rs 1,447 crore in Jamnagar, Surat, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Junagadh.
He laid foundation stones for projects totalling Rs 1,347 crore, including the Rs 1,000 crore Phase 3 of the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, a key urban rejuvenation effort.
PM Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundations for projects under Gujarat’s Health and Revenue Departments, investing Rs 672 crore.
Notably, he inaugurated new facilities at the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research, marking a milestone in enhancing the state’s healthcare infrastructure.
