An all-party delegation of Indian MPs, led by Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Shinde, arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday as part of ‘Operation Sindoor’, a wide-ranging diplomatic campaign to expose Pakistan’s role in cross-border terrorism.
The UAE is the first stop in a multi-nation mission aimed at strengthening international cooperation against terrorism.
The group includes notable figures from across the political spectrum—
- BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj
- BJP MP Atul Garg
- BJP MP Manan Kumar Mishra
- BJD’s Sasmit Patra
- IUML’s ET Mohammed Basheer
- BJP’s SS Ahluwalia
- Former Indian Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.
The delegation is scheduled to visit Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone following their UAE leg.
Warm Reception In Abu Dhabi
The Indian Embassy in the UAE confirmed that Ahmed Mir Khoori, a member of the UAE’s Federal National Council, and Sunjay Sudhir, India’s Ambassador to the UAE, received the team.
“UAE is the first country to receive the all-party delegation in the context of ‘Operation Sindoor’, underlining India-UAE’s deep bonds of friendship,” the embassy noted in a statement on social media.

Prior to the visit, Shinde posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Our purpose is clear and unwavering: to confront state-sponsored terrorism, specifically from Pakistan, on the global stage. We will be highlighting the remarkable success of Operation Sindoor and reinforcing India’s undeniable Right to Self-Defence as enshrined in International Law.”
Shinde further added that the visit would “deliver a strong, unified message to the international community- reflecting India’s resolute stand against terrorism and our deep-seated commitment to fostering global peace and security.”

Parallel Mission To Japan
Simultaneously, another Indian parliamentary delegation, led by JDU’s Sanjay Kumar Jha, has reached Tokyo with the same objective.
That group includes a wide range of leaders such as Congress’s Salman Khurshid, CPI(M)’s John Brittas, BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, and Hemang Joshi, TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee, and Ambassador Mohan Kumar.

The delegation’s activities include engagements with foreign governments, legislators, media, civil society organisations, the Indian diaspora, and international institutions such as the United Nations.
The teams carry evidence showing Pakistan’s persistent support for globally banned terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, as well as its harbouring of internationally designated terrorists.
This unprecedented diplomatic push marks one of India’s most coordinated foreign policy campaigns to date, aiming to build a global consensus against state-sponsored terrorism.
