Following the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, India launched a decisive military response Operation Sindoor.
The Indian Army eliminated over 100 terrorists and targeted Pakistani military infrastructure, including a key airbase in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan.
The swift and forceful action drew widespread appreciation across the country, with citizens and leaders saluting the courage and efficiency of the armed forces.
Acharya Pramod Targets Rahul Gandhi
Amid national support for the army’s action, Acharya Pramod Krishnam, former Congress leader and head of Kalkidham Peeth, criticised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on social media.
In a strongly worded post on platform X, Acharya Pramod wrote, “It has not even been four days since the ceasefire, and Lashkar-e-Congress-e-Rahul is already busy demanding proof.”
सीज़ “फ़ायर”
हुए अभी 4 दिन भी नहीं हुए,
लश्कर-ए-कांग्रेस-ए-राहुल,
फिर से “सबूत” माँगने में जुट गया. @RahulGandhi— Acharya Pramod (@AcharyaPramodk) May 14, 2025
This pointed remark was a clear jibe at Congress leaders who have, in the past, questioned the government’s claims following anti-terror operations.
Online Exchange Heats Up
Responding to Acharya Pramod’s post, Ansar Raza, Chairman of the Garib Nawaz Foundation, commented:”Oh dear, you also should not take paper Lashkars too seriously.”

In a sharp comeback, Acharya Pramod quoted Raza’s reply and added, “In the beginning, people didn’t take “Lashkar-e-Taiba” seriously either.”

पहले “लशकर-ए-तैयबा”
को भी “सीरियस” नहीं लिया करते थे. https://t.co/BGR0gJ5fzu— Acharya Pramod (@AcharyaPramodk) May 14, 2025
The online exchange quickly went viral, with netizens engaging in a heated debate over political posturing and national security.
Strong Government Response Beyond Military Action
Besides military retaliation, the central government took several bold diplomatic and administrative steps. Authorities:
- Suspended the Indus Water Treaty
- Expelled Pakistani diplomats
- Cancelled all existing visas issued to Pakistani citizens
These moves signalled India’s firm stance against cross-border terrorism and its sponsors.
National Sentiment Favouring Armed Forces
Operation Sindoor has further cemented public trust in the Indian Army’s ability to respond decisively.
While political debates rage on, the country appears united in acknowledging the sacrifices and professionalism of its armed forces.
