Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely lead an important Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting on Wednesday at 11 AM in New Delhi, where discussions will centre on national security and strategic responses to emerging threats.
The meeting will focus on critical issues, including the aftermath of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
It is likely to deliberate on India’s military and intelligence preparedness, alongside formulating a response to escalating tensions with Pakistan.
The CCS, consisting of senior ministers and officials from Defence, Home, External Affairs, and Intelligence agencies, will assess various security concerns.
Key items on the agenda include reviewing intelligence inputs, evaluating defence operations, and discussing potential diplomatic actions in the face of heightened regional tensions.
One of the significant points of focus will be the review of ‘Operation Sindoor’, a covert counter-terror operation that has reportedly achieved significant tactical success.
The meeting will also address the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the loss of security personnel, amplifying the urgency for a strategic reassessment and possible retaliatory action.
PM’s Adampur Visit Highlights Forces’ Sacrifices
This crucial meeting follows Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the Adampur Airbase in Punjab, where he met with Indian armed forces personnel.
The visit served as a show of solidarity, underscoring the government’s appreciation for the sacrifices made by the armed forces.
During his address to the soldiers, PM Modi remarked, “This slogan is not just a proclamation but a vow of every soldier who is willing to give his life to protect Maa Bharti. This is the voice of every citizen who wants to serve the country. This voice resonates both in the field and in the mission.”
The Prime Minister also expressed deep admiration for the forces, saying, “When our forces blow away the threat of Nuclear blackmail, then only one thing resonates from India — ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. You have made every Indian proud; you have created history. I am here early morning to have your ‘darshan’. When the feet of heroes touch the ground, the ground becomes blessed. When we get the opportunity to have darshan of these heroes, our lives get blessed, and hence I am here today.”
