‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ Not Just A Slogan, It’s A Vow: PM Modi At Adampur Airbase

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur Airbase in Punjab on Tuesday morning, where he met personnel from the Indian armed forces.

Describing the visit as a moment to witness the bravery of the nation’s protectors, PM Modi said he had come to have the ‘darshan of the heroes’ who serve the country with unshakable commitment.

Speaking to the troops amid chants of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, PM Modi said the slogan was more than a chant—it reflected a promise made by every soldier and citizen alike to uphold the honour of the country.

“This slogan is not just a proclamation but a vow of every soldier who is willing to give his life to protect Maa Bharti. This is the voice of every citizen who wants to serve the country. This voice resonates both in the field and in the mission,” PM Modi remarked.

Military’s Stand Against Nuclear Blackmail Applauded

The Prime Minister went on to applaud the military’s stand against nuclear blackmail.

“When our forces blow away the threat of nuclear blackmail, then only one thing resonates from India — Bharat Mata ki Jai. You have made every Indian proud; you have created history. I am here early morning to have your ‘darshan’. When the feet of heroes touch the ground, the ground becomes blessed. When we get the opportunity to have darshan of these heroes, our lives get blessed, and hence I am here today,” PM Modi asserted.

The Prime Minister further noted, “I salute the Indian Army, Air Force, Navy, and the Border Security Force personnel for their courage.”

PM Modi highlighted the success of recent airstrikes carried out by Indian forces, stating, “I can proudly say that all of you reached your target with perfection. In Pakistan, it was not just the terrorist camps and their air bases that were destroyed, but their nefarious designs and audacity were also defeated.”

Operation Sindoor: A Turning Point In Anti-Terror Strategy

The visit followed closely after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire, days after the launch of ‘Operation Sindoor’, a large-scale Indian military initiative aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Hailed as a pivotal moment in India’s fight against cross-border terrorism, the operation marked a clear shift in the nation’s approach to such threats.

During his time at the airbase, PM Modi praised the professionalism and bravery of the personnel.

Soldiers on the ground said the visit significantly lifted their morale. They smiled in full combat gear, reflecting both their readiness and pride in duty.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Earlier this morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who epitomise courage, determination and fearlessness. India is eternally grateful to our armed forces for everything they do for our nation.”

Adampur Airbase: A Target Repelled

Adampur Airbase had been one of the attempted targets during a retaliatory strike by Pakistan on the night of 9–10 May.

However, Indian air defence systems successfully intercepted drones and missiles, demonstrating the country’s robust preparedness.

The visit also came shortly after PM Modi’s national address, where he commended the armed forces, intelligence personnel, and scientists for the precise execution of ‘Operation Sindoor’.

The Prime Minister noted that the operation symbolised the spirit of the nation and was particularly dedicated to the women of India, whose dignity it sought to protect.

Reinforcing India’s stand against terrorism, the Prime Minister described ‘Operation Sindoor’ as the beginning of a decisive new phase in national defence strategy—one that is unyielding, focused, and resolute.

PM Modi concluded by emphasising that the strikes carried out with accuracy and purpose to safeguard Indian lives and defend the nation’s values.
