BJP Launches 10-Day Tiranga Yatra To Honour Armed Forces And Celebrate Operation Sindoor

The ruling party aims to reach out to every citizen and showcase the valour of the armed forces. It also plans to highlight India’s firm resolve against terrorism.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch a 10-day Tiranga Yatra across India from 13 to 23 May. The nationwide campaign seeks to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. The Indian Armed Forces carried out the precision strike to dismantle terror infrastructure in Pakistan. Notably, the action followed the brutal killing of 26 people in Pahalgam by Pakistan-backed terrorists.

According to BJP leaders, the ruling party plans to reach out to citizens and showcase the courage of Indian forces. The campaign also intends to reaffirm India’s firm resolve to counter terrorism.

As part of the initiative, senior BJP leaders and Union Ministers will lead Tiranga Yatras across various regions. Moreover, party figures such as Sambit Patra, Vinod Tawde, and Tarun Chugh will supervise and coordinate the movement.

Earlier on Monday, BJP National President J.P. Nadda chaired a high-level meeting in New Delhi to finalise the campaign strategy. Senior leaders and office bearers attended the meeting and discussed ways to spread awareness about Operation Sindoor and address misinformation.

Furthermore, BJP workers will organise Tiranga Yatras in all parts of the country. These will see active participation from Union Ministers, MPs, elected representatives, and party workers.

The party said the campaign aims to instil national pride, honour the armed forces, and build public support for the government’s decisive actions on national security.

In addition, BJP sources confirmed the party will confront misleading narratives. It will present facts about the operation’s goals and execution to counter false claims.

To recall, India launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May in response to the Pahalgam massacre on 22 April. Terrorists had killed 25 tourists and a pony operator.

The operation targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. These sites were selected based on detailed intelligence inputs.

According to officials, the strikes eliminated over 100 terrorists. They described the mission as measured, proportionate, non-escalatory, and aligned with India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.
