World Hindi Day: Think about the last time you used a full sentence or for that matter had a short conversation using only one single language? Surprisingly, we don’t live in purist times. So our conversations whether we are communicating in English or in our local or native language, are a mix of two or more languages.

On the occasion of World Hindi Day, it’s time to do a rain check on our language skills. It’s true we live in a world where social media with its limited character usage has affected our language skills in general.

As an attempt to promote Hindi as well as to broaden our knowledge and more importantly to have a bit of light-hearted fun here are some everyday words we use in English which have humorous Hindi translations.
