In the wake of the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has urged both India and Pakistan not to escalate tensions further.
His message, which is being conveyed to Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, reflects the growing international concern about the situation.
Rubio plans to follow up with direct calls to the foreign ministers of both nations in the coming days.
Additionally, the US is encouraging other world leaders to take a similar stance in urging restraint.

In a show of solidarity, US leaders have expressed their support for India’s efforts to bring the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack to justice.
US President Donald Trump had also reached out to PM Modi following the incident, reaffirming America’s commitment to supporting India in its fight against terrorism.
Furthermore, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard voiced support on social media, offering US assistance to ‘hunt down’ those responsible for the attack.
