PM Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the brutal killing of 26 innocent civilians in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the nation stands united in grief and support for the victims’ families.
‘Terrorists Will Face Punishment Beyond Imagination’: PM Modi
PM Modi assured that the government is taking all necessary measures to ensure the swift recovery of those injured. He declared that the terrorists, their handlers, and all conspirators would face consequences ‘beyond their imagination’.
He asserted that the collective willpower of 140 crore Indians will dismantle the foundations of terrorism.
From the stage in Bihar, the Prime Minister pledged that India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers.
“India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism, and terrorism will not go unpunished,” the Prime Minister stated, thanking world leaders and citizens from across the globe for their solidarity.
PM Modi Launches Rs 13,480 Crore Development Projects In Bihar
On National Panchayati Raj Day, PM Modi launched development projects worth ₹13,480 crore in Madhubani, aiming to boost infrastructure and generate jobs across Bihar.
PM Modi urged a moment of silence for victims of the April 22 Pahalgam attack.
PM Modi said Bihar was key to India’s freedom struggle, as Gandhi launched Satyagraha here, linking village growth to national progress.
He stated that the government has connected over two lakh Gram Panchayats to the internet and built more than 30,000 new Panchayat Bhawans nationwide in the past decade. These digital and infrastructural advancements have improved access to essential documents and services in rural areas.
PM Modi said Panchayats received over ₹2 lakh crore in 10 years, highlighting the government’s focus on rural development.
Women Empowerment Through ‘Jeevika Didi’ Program
PM Modi praised Bihar’s ‘Jeevika Didi’ groups, noting ₹1,000 crore support for their ventures.
He reaffirmed the goal of creating three crore Lakhpati Didis to foster women’s financial independence.
Calling the last ten years a ‘decade of infrastructure’, PM Modi said the government has transformed rural access to basic needs.
Over 12 crore rural homes now have tap water, 2.5 crore are electrified, and many have received gas connections.
Even remote regions like Ladakh and Siachen now enjoy 4G and 5G connectivity.
Healthcare Revolution In Rural India
Highlighting the expansion of health infrastructure, the PM announced a new AIIMS in Darbhanga and a medical college in Jhanjharpur. He said the number of medical colleges has nearly doubled over the decade.
Additionally, over 1.5 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, including 10,000+ in Bihar, now provide primary healthcare access to villagers.
Boosting Connectivity: Roads, Rail, and Metro Projects
PM Modi said Bihar is rapidly integrating into India’s growing transportation network.
PM Modi announced the ‘Namo Bharat Rapid Rail’ between Patna and Jaynagar to reduce travel time in key Bihar districts.
He added that metro projects are underway in Patna and over two dozen Indian cities, boosting urban mobility.
