
PM Narendra Modi will embark on a day-long tour of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, starting with a visit to Varanasi on April 11.
The PM will begin his trip by laying the foundation stone and inaugurating a series of development projects worth over ₹3,880 crore at approximately 11 AM.
The projects will focus on enhancing infrastructure, including road connectivity, electricity distribution, and educational facilities.
Following the project inaugurations, PM Modi will address a public gathering in Varanasi, reinforcing his government’s commitment to local development.
The Prime Minister will also oversee the initiation of several crucial road projects, including a road bridge linking the Varanasi Ring Road to Sarnath, flyovers at Bhikharipur and Manduadih crossings, and a highway underpass tunnel near Varanasi International Airport.
These projects are valued at over ₹980 crore.
PM Modi To Focus On Boosting Electricity Infrastructure In Varanasi
PM Modi will focus on improving the electricity infrastructure during his visit by inaugurating two 400 KV and one 220 KV transmission substations in the Varanasi division.
This move is expected to enhance electricity distribution in the Jaunpur, Chandauli, and Ghazipur districts, worth over ₹1,045 crore.
Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation for several more transmission substations and upgrades to the city’s electricity distribution system, amounting to ₹775 crore.
As part of his push for inclusive education, PM Modi will inaugurate a Government Polytechnic College in Pindra, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Government College in Barki village, and 356 rural libraries.
The Prime Minister will also launch 100 Anganwadi centers and the renovation of 77 primary school buildings under the Smart City Mission.
Promoting Sports And Cultural Heritage
PM Modi will also promote sports infrastructure by laying the foundation for a synthetic hockey turf at Uday Pratap College and a mini stadium in Shivpur.
To celebrate the cultural heritage of Varanasi, PM Modi will inaugurate the redevelopment of Samne Ghat and Shastri Ghat along the Ganga River, along with 130 rural drinking water schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission worth ₹345 crore.
In a bid to boost local products, the Prime Minister will present Geographical Indication (GI) certificates for traditional items such as tabla, paintings, thandai, and tiranga barfi.
Prime Minister Modi will also distribute Ayushman Vay Vandana cards to senior citizens and transfer ₹105 crore in bonuses to milk suppliers associated with Banas Dairy.
PM Modi’s Visit To Madhya Pradesh: Spiritual & Cultural Commitment
In the afternoon, PM Modi will travel to Madhya Pradesh, where he will reaffirm his commitment to preserving India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
The Prime Minister will visit Anandpur Dham in Isagarh Tehsil, Ashoknagar district, where he will perform prayers at the Guru Ji Maharaj Temple and tour the temple complex.
Anandpur Dham spans 315 hectares and includes a modern gaushala housing over 500 cows, along with agricultural activities, schools, and a charitable hospital.
The temple complex serves as a spiritual and philanthropic hub for the local community.
