
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to prioritizing employment for the youth during a review meeting on Friday.
He emphasized that the double-engine government prioritizes providing job opportunities and assured that recruitment processes will occur in a fair, transparent, and time-bound manner.
During the meeting, CM Sharma revealed that over 67,000 appointments had already been made.
Recruitment is currently underway for more than 1.88 lakh posts across various departments in the state.
“We have organized five employment fairs in just over a year and will continue this initiative every three months to ensure regular appointment opportunities for the youth,” he stated.
Resuming Stalled Recruitment Processes
CM Sharma also addressed the legal challenges that had previously stalled recruitment for certain positions.
He highlighted that effective legal interventions resumed recruitment for approximately 9,800 posts delayed by ongoing court cases.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to expedite the examination and resolution of remaining court-pending recruitment cases.
Sharma emphasized the importance of planning and stressed that recruitment should align with future workforce needs.
“Human resources are crucial for achieving the goal of a developed Rajasthan. Departments must assess and plan for future vacancies and conduct recruitment accordingly,” he noted.
He urged departments to work efficiently and transparently in fulfilling recruitment processes.
Streamlining Recruitment Exams And Expanding Opportunities
To ensure the recruitment process is efficient, CM Sharma suggested creating a standardized eligibility framework for similar posts across departments.
This would reduce duplication of efforts and resources. He also directed the creation of new posts in recently formed districts and urged rapid recruitment in these areas.
In an effort to tackle the shortage of exam centers during large-scale recruitment, CM Sharma proposed utilizing unused college buildings as examination venues.
This initiative aims to enhance the capacity for conducting recruitment exams without delays.
Collaboration And Support From Senior Officials
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant and other senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretaries Abhay Kumar, Akhil Arora, Aparna Arora, Shikhar Aggarwal, Kuldeep Ranka, Shreya Guha, Anand Kumar, Praveen Gupta, Bhaskar A Sawant, and Principal Secretary Alok Gupta.
Officers from the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), and other relevant departments were also present to discuss and strategize further steps.
The Chief Minister concluded by stressing the importance of completing recruitment processes in a mission mode, ensuring timely exams and effective execution.
With these plans in place, Rajasthan is moving forward with a renewed commitment to providing sustainable employment opportunities for its youth.
