Announced on Wednesday, the ‘Skill and Employ’ program will likely be the country’s most extensive initiative of its kind, reinforcing the ‘Make in India’ campaign.

As part of this effort, the Group has collaborated with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) to create a skilled workforce across various sectors, including green energy, high-tech industries, manufacturing, project excellence, and industrial design.

Robin Bhowmik, CEO of Adani Skills and Education, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership.

The program will however focus on certification-driven learning, academic quality assurance, and faculty and student exchange programs, incorporating industry-oriented training.

“Our approach ensures that students are industry-ready from day one, thereby supporting various sectors and contributing to India’s growth story,” Bhowmik further added.

To realize this vision, the Adani family has pledged over Rs 2,000 crore to establish an internationally benchmarked institution and finishing school in Mundra, Gujarat.

The initiative will however target students from technical and vocational education backgrounds across India, tailoring their training to industry-specific needs and career paths.

Successful candidates will gain certification and access employment opportunities within the Adani Group or other relevant sectors.

IGCC Recognizes The Impact Of Adani Initiative

Ute Brockmann, IGCC Deputy Director General and Head of DEinternational Services highlighted the significance of the partnership.

“Our partnership with the Adani Group is a significant step towards developing next-generation talent that will drive India’s industrial growth and innovation,” she further asserted.

IGCC has extensive experience in implementing German Standard Dual Vocational Education programs in India. Brockmann expressed confidence in the long-term impact of the partnership, stating, “We target the valuable cooperation with the Adani Group to be a long-term strategic partnership.”

Founded in 1956, IGCC is India’s largest chamber of commerce and the biggest German bi-national chamber globally, representing nearly 4,000 member companies across diverse industries.
