The All-India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) and Rural Labourers (CPI-RL) remained unchanged in December 2024 at 1,320 and 1,331 points, respectively. This stability follows the same index points recorded in November 2024, reflecting a steady pricing environment in rural areas.

The decline in retail inflation is significant, given the November 2024 figures of 5.35% for agricultural labourers and 5.47% for rural labourers. The trend indicates an easing of price pressures in rural regions.

The consistent decrease in rural inflation aligns with efforts to stabilize prices in agricultural and rural sectors. Policymakers and rural households alike will closely monitor future trends for sustained improvement in purchasing power.

These figures highlight the positive trajectory in controlling inflation, benefiting both farm and rural workers.
