Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Prayagraj has been transformed into a magnificent city of temples, offering pilgrims a unique spiritual experience with replicas of some of India’s most revered temples all in one place during the Maha Kumbh.
Iconic Temple Replicas Attract Devotees
A newly constructed replica of the Tirupati Balaji temple stands ready to welcome worshippers, among the highlights.
Other grand replicas, including those of the Ram Temple and Mehndipur Balaji Temple, are already drawing long queues of devotees.
In addition to these, replicas of the Akshardham, the sacred Char Dham, Khatu Shyam, Maa Kamakhya Devi Temple, and the ISKCON temple are captivating the hearts of pilgrims and contributing to the spiritual and cultural significance of the Maha Kumbh.
Every day, millions of devotees gather in Prayagraj not only for spiritual fulfillment but also to enjoy a wide variety of traditional dishes.
Offerings like creamy rabri, tea, halwa, and poori-sabzi ensure that no devotee goes hungry amidst the divine atmosphere.
Spiritual leader Shri Shri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Swami Keshavdas Maharaj has traveled from Guwahati to make darshan accessible to pilgrims. For the first time, the display features a 3D replica of Maa Kamakhya, with sacred soil from the original temple placed in the sanctum.
The ‘charanamrit’ served here is the same as offered at the original Kamakhya Temple, thanks to special arrangements made by Shri Gurdas Ji Maharaj and the Bhakti Yoga Institution.
The Maha Kumbh Nagar has evolved into more than just a gathering place; it is now a vibrant spiritual hub.
Sectors 7, 8, and 9 have become focal points, hosting replicas of India’s most iconic temples.
The Tirupati Temple, Ram Temple, and Mehndipur Balaji Temple are attracting large crowds, with daily bhajan evenings adding to the devotional fervor.
Visitors can also marvel at replicas of Uttarakhand’s Char Dham in the state pavilion in Sector 7, as well as the stunning Akshardham Temple nearby, making Prayagraj a center of devotion and cultural unity during the Maha Kumbh.
