The Centre has scheduled an all-party meeting on Sunday, November 24, at 11 a.m. in the Main Committee Room of the Parliament House Annexe. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will preside over the meeting, with Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju engaging with floor leaders from both Houses. This discussion precedes the Winter Session of Parliament, set to begin on November 25 and run until December 20, barring exigencies.
Legislative Focus For The Session
The government plans to introduce 15 bills, including amendments to the Waqf Law and new legislations such as the Rashtriya Sahkari Vishwavidyalaya Bill, aimed at establishing a cooperative university. Among the pending bills, the Waqf (Amendment) Bill awaits a report from the joint parliamentary committee, expected in the session’s first week.

Other Legislative Priorities
The Punjab Courts (Amendment) Bill seeks to raise district court monetary jurisdiction from ₹3 lakh to ₹20 lakh in Delhi. Additionally, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will propose banking reforms, while Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is set to table amendments to the Railway Act, 1989. Seven other ministers schedule to present papers in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
Special Observance
On November 26, both Houses will further pause their proceedings to commemorate Constitution Day, honoring the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
