On Wednesday, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, announced that the company will invest $10 billion in US energy security and infrastructure projects. The investment will likely create up to 15,000 jobs in the US.

Taking to X, Gautam Adani expressed his commitment to strengthening the partnership between India and the United States.

“As the partnership between India and the United States deepens, the Adani Group is committed to leveraging its global expertise and invest $10 billion in US energy security and resilient infrastructure projects, aiming to create up to 15,000 jobs,” he posted.

Last week, the Adani Group Chairman also congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election. Trump is likely to become the 47th President of the United States.

“If there is one person on Earth who stands as the embodiment of unbreakable tenacity, unshakeable grit, relentless determination and the courage to stay true to his beliefs, it is Donald Trump. Fascinating to see America’s democracy empower its people and uphold the nation’s founding principles. Congratulations to the 47th POTUS-elect,” he asserted.

Several world leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, also congratulated Trump, acknowledging his historic win.

Earlier in September, at the India-US Strategic Clean Energy Partnership (SCEP) meeting in Washington, US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri discussed the role of energy trade between the two countries.

The meeting highlighted the progress made in clean energy technologies, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and decarbonization of high-emitting sectors like industry and transport.

The US and India also announced collaborations on new projects like the National Centre for Hydrogen Safety in India and the second International Conference on Green Hydrogen, held this month.
