Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Denis Manturov, is likely to embark on a high-level visit to India from 11 to 12 November. The visit aims to bolster the economic and strategic ties between the two nations.
During his visit, Manturov will participate in the Russian-Indian Business Forum, which will take place in Mumbai on 11 November.
The forum, organized by the Business Council for Cooperation with India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), will focus on enhancing business and economic relations.
Industry leaders from both countries will discuss a variety of topics, including industrial cooperation, finance, logistics, digital technologies, and regional partnerships.
This annual event serves as a vital platform for advancing trade and collaboration, with the goal of promoting mutual growth.
The plenary session in Mumbai will also set the stage for further discussions aimed at addressing the shared economic challenges and opportunities for both countries.
On 12 November, Manturov will meet with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in New Delhi for the 25th session of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation.
This session will evaluate the progress made on existing initiatives and explore potential avenues for expanded cooperation across a wide range of sectors.
As part of his visit, Manturov is likely to hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior Indian officials, further cementing the strategic partnership between India and Russia.
These talks are likely to explore new dimensions of collaboration, particularly in areas of defense, energy, and technology.
PM Modi Praises BRICS Summit; Thanks Putin For Warm Hospitality
The visit follows significant high-level exchanges between the two nations, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent participation in the BRICS summit held in Kazan, Russia.
During the summit, PM Modi praised the event as highly productive and thanked President Vladimir Putin and the Russian people for their warm hospitality.
PM Modi’s strong commitment to enhancing bilateral ties was further underscored during his own visit to Russia earlier this year, where he attended the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit and was honored with the ‘Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle’, a prestigious award recognizing his efforts to strengthen the India-Russia partnership.
