Anmol Bishnoi

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

This move highlights the agency’s intensified efforts to combat organized crime and dismantle criminal networks operating within India.

Officials have chargesheeted Anmol in two NIA cases filed in 2022. Recently, he has drawn attention due to ongoing investigations in Mumbai, particularly concerning activities linked to a political party.

His name surfaced prominently after he was linked to a shooting incident outside the residence of Bollywood star Salman Khan earlier this year.

Call For Public Assistance

In a public appeal, the NIA urged anyone with information about Anmol’s whereabouts to come forward. The agency further emphasized that his capture could provide critical insights into larger organized crime operations in the region.

Authorities believe that Anmol’s connections and activities are integral to understanding the broader networks of illicit operations.

The agency’s announcement coincides with a renewed crackdown on organized crime, reflecting its commitment to enhancing public safety and security.

The NIA has previously conducted significant operations targeting various crime syndicates, including the Lawrence Bishnoi Crime Syndicate.

Recent Operations Against Crime Syndicates

This reward announcement follows a substantial operation conducted in January, during which the NIA seized illegal arms, ammunition, and incriminating documents across multiple states, including Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi.

In a coordinated effort, the agency raided 32 locations, resulting in the confiscation of weapons, cash, and digital devices associated with criminal activities linked to the banned Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and the Lawrence Bishnoi Crime Syndicate.

Investigators conducted the January operations as part of ongoing efforts to address the terror activities orchestrated by BKI and other gangster networks, which allegedly smuggle arms, carry out targeted killings, and extort funds from businesses and professionals.

Links To High-Profile Crimes

Anmol Bishnoi’s syndicate has been implicated in several high-profile crimes, including the assassination of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and the murders of social and religious figures like Pardeep Kumar.

The criminal networks operate not only across India but also have connections abroad, posing a significant challenge to law enforcement agencies.

As the NIA steps up its efforts to locate Anmol Bishnoi, officials remain vigilant in their pursuit of dismantling these dangerous syndicates. The agency is urging the public to remain vigilant and cooperate to ensure that authorities hold those involved in organized crime accountable.
