Contempt Petition Filed Against Union Minister For labeling Rahul Gandhi Terrorist

Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu faces backlash after labeling Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi a terrorist in the Lok Sabha. Hindu Sena (S) President Surjeet Yadav filed a contempt petition against Bittu in the Delhi High Court. The petition alleges that Bittu used abusive language that could incite violence and unrest.

Allegations and Calls for Action

Yadav’s petition claims that Bittu’s remarks threaten public peace and harmony. Bittu described Rahul Gandhi as the “biggest terrorist in the country” and suggested that agencies should act against him first. He argued that Gandhi has become a threat to the nation. Bittu criticized Gandhi for speaking negatively about India while abroad, stating he does not understand the struggles of laborers and cobblers.

Congress Stage Nationwide Protests

In response to Bittu’s comments, Congress Youth workers organized protests across several cities, including Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Maharashtra, and Chandigarh. Protesters burned effigies of Bittu and demanded an apology. Congress leaders condemned Bittu’s statements, calling them harmful and unacceptable in democratic discourse. The protests highlight rising tensions surrounding the issue.
