PM talks to Award-Winning Educators
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a video on Saturday of his interaction with educators honored with the National Teachers Awards. He praised their dedication and impact on shaping India’s future.
“Honoured to meet the outstanding educators who have been awarded the National Teachers’ Awards. Their passion and dedication to shaping young minds are truly inspiring,” PM Modi wrote on X.
The meeting took place at PM Modi’s residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. He commended the teachers for their role in nation-building, recognizing their zeal in nurturing the country’s future citizens. The awards, he said, acknowledged their exceptional contribution to national service.

During the interaction, the awardees shared their experiences in teaching. They also discussed innovative methods they use to make learning engaging, alongside their involvement in social work.
PM Modi emphasized the importance of the National Education Policy (NEP) and learning in one’s mother tongue. He encouraged teachers to teach local folklore in multiple languages, helping students develop multidisciplinary skills and appreciate India’s rich cultural diversity.
He also suggested organizing educational tours for students to explore the country’s diversity. “This will also boost tourism and give a fillip to the local economy,” he added.
The Prime Minister urged teachers to engage with students through social media and promote best practices that benefit everyone. Finally, he lauded teachers for their crucial role in preparing today’s youth for a “Viksit Bharat.”
