Banerjee aimed for a black belt but couldn’t achieve it due to his father’s transferable job. Despite not reaching the black belt level, Banerjee’s skills are evident in his action sequences in Vedaa.

John Abraham, known for his action roles, praised Banerjee’s expertise during the film’s trailer launch in Mumbai. Banerjee explained that for him, action is all about choreography and timing.

When discussing the differences between Hollywood and Hindi cinema action, actor Abhishek Banerjee said, “Copying Hollywood action often fails because we can’t match their budgets, design standards, or VFX. However, sticking to our roots gives us a unique edge.”

He emphasized that Vedaa features raw, root-based action. Banerjee noted that Kill, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, also had impressive action. He pointed out that Indian action evolved with films like Shiva, starring Nagarjuna and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, which showcased intense and authentic Indian action.
