In a significant enhancement for travelers, Vistara on Saturday announced that it will offer 20 minutes of free Wi-Fi on its international flights.
This makes Vistara the first Indian airline to provide such a benefit.
The Tata-Singapore Airlines joint venture revealed that this complimentary Wi-Fi access is available to passengers in all cabins, making it easier for them to stay connected.
Passengers can access the service, ideal for those wanting to purchase extended plans, using Indian credit or debit cards.
Available on Vistara’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Airbus A321neo aircraft, the service enables customers to receive one-time passwords via email, facilitating the purchase of extended in-flight Wi-Fi during their session.
Deepak Rajawat, Vistara’s Chief Commercial Officer stated, “We are confident that customers will appreciate this value addition, which aims to make their Vistara journey more convenient, productive, and seamless.”
Additionally, Business Class passengers and Platinum Club Vistara members will receive 50 MB of complimentary Wi-Fi. Non-members can access unlimited data on messaging apps like WhatsApp for Rs 372.74 plus GST.
For internet surfing, including audio and video streaming, the service is available at Rs 1,577.54 plus GST.
Meanwhile, unlimited data, allowing all streaming protocols, is available for Rs 2,707.04 plus GST.
Vistara’s in-flight entertainment systems offer nearly 700 hours of content, including movies, TV shows, and audio titles, enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.
