Om Birla, re-elected as the Lok Sabha Speaker for the second time, made his inaugural visit to Kota-Bundi, his parliamentary constituency, on Saturday.
Addressing the media, Birla highlighted the diverse socio-political dynamics he observed in the region.
Birla remarked, “In the Kota-Bundi constituency, we have championed various causes for the people. With both central and state governments now under BJP leadership, our focus is on meeting public expectations through robust employment opportunities and infrastructural advancements.”
Discussing the prospects for employment, he expressed optimism, “India continues to attract global investments, bolstering confidence among private enterprises. This ensures ample employment opportunities for our youth.”
Birla underscored his confidence in India’s future under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
He asserted, “The upcoming years will witness a transformative journey for our nation.”
Reflecting on his role as Speaker, Birla emphasized Parliament’s significance as the cornerstone of democracy.
He stressed the importance of prolonged sessions for fostering discussions and debates, thereby strengthening democratic values.
This visit marks Birla’s first return to Bundi since assuming his second term as Lok Sabha Speaker.
District officials, including Hiralal Nagar, the district in-charge minister, and former minister Prabhu Lal Saini, extended a warm welcome, organizing various programs and roadshows in Hindoli, Bundi, and Talera.
