Ambani’s Hosts Lavish Mass Wedding For Underprivileged Couples Ahead Of Son’s Nuptials

The Ambani family celebrated the essence of love with a grand gesture, a lavish mass wedding ceremony for more than 50 underprivileged couples from Palghar, Maharashtra, held on July 2. This event preceded the upcoming wedding of their youngest son, Anant Ambani, to Radhika Merchant on July 12 in Mumbai. Hosted at the Reliance Corporate Park in Thane, the ceremony was attended by around 800 guests, including family members like Nita and Mukesh Ambani, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, and Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal.

The couples were showered with generous gifts, including gold trinkets such as mangal sutras, nose rings, and wedding rings. Silver nose rings and anklets were also among the presents, and each bride received Rs 1 lakh as ‘Stridhan’. Additionally, they were provided with a year’s supply of groceries and household essentials, complete with 36 items, utensils, and appliances like gas stoves, mixers, fans, mattresses, and pillows.

The evening was enriched with cultural performances, including the traditional Tarpa dance by the Warli Tribe, making it a memorable celebration filled with cultural significance. Reflecting their ethos of “manav seva hi madhav seva” (service to humanity is service to God), the Ambani family kickstarted this major family event with a commitment to give back to the community, emphasizing their dedication to serving others.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are scheduled to exchange vows on July 12.
