Rajasthan Royals’ cricketer Shimron Hetmyer has incurred a fine amounting to 10 per cent of his match fees.
This occurred as he violated the IPL Code of Conduct during the Qualifier 2 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday night.
According to an official statement released by the IPL on Saturday, Hetmyer committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct.
The statement further mentioned that Hetmyer acknowledged his breach of conduct and agreed to the penalty imposed by the Match Referee.
It emphasized that for Level 1 breaches, the Match Referee’s decision stands as final and obligatory.
