National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management-Kundali (NIFTEM-K) signed an agreement with the University of Melbourne, Australia. On this occasion, Dr. Surinder Singh Chauhan, Deputy Director, Melbourne India Postgraduate Academy and Dr. Harinder Singh Oberoi, Director, NIFTEM (K) signed an agreement to further research and educational efforts in food processing technology.
During the program, institutional head and dean Dr. S.S. Chouhan informed about the opportunities for possible collaboration and activities between the two institutions under the Memorandum of Agreement. Under the MoU, both the institutes committed to collaborate and coordinate their expertise, resources and knowledge to pursue research and academic efforts in food processing technology.
The partnership aims to address emerging and pressing challenges while contributing to scientific progress. This also includes promoting a vibrant academic environment for exchange of ideas between students and faculty of both the institutions through facilitating joint research projects, interdisciplinary collaboration and exchange programmes. Under this partnership, joint seminars, workshops and conferences will be organized, providing opportunities for greater knowledge to the students and faculty of both the institutions. Through this agreement, the collaboration between the University of Melbourne and NIFTEM-K will be permanent and deepened, encouraging the discovery and development of new and innovative solutions in the field of food processing and technology.
