Taiwan on Monday said that it detected 4 Chinese naval ships operating around Taiwan. It was between 6 am on Sunday to 6 am on Monday.
Taking to X, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence posted, “4 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and employed appropriate forces to respond.”
Taiwanese armed forces have monitored the situation.
Meanwhile, Naval vessels, and coastal systems were also deployed in response to China’s activity.

No People’s Liberation Army’s aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line or entered the country’s Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ) during that time.
Earlier on 7 April, Taiwan tracked 6 Chinese naval vessels operating around the nation. It was between 6 am on Saturday to 6 am on Sunday.
Taking to X, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence posted, “6 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. ROC Armed Forces have monitored the situation. Navy vessels and coastal missile systems deployed in response to the detected activities.”

So far this month, Taiwan has tracked Chinese military aircraft 40 times and naval vessels 45 times.
Since September 2020, China has increased its use of gray zone tactics by incrementally increasing the number of military aircraft and naval ships operating around Taiwan.
